At Regina Caterers, we too are concerned about the high rate of obesity in America, particularly amongst our children. As a result, we work closely with program operators to develop and design menus that meet the nutritional needs of their clients. Our staff works with nutritionists at the Child and Adult Care Food Program in Albany to keep abreast of the latest dietary requirements and new regulations issued by the State Department of Health and the USDA.

When it comes to feeding children and young adults, Regina Caterers prepares nutritious lunches, suppers and snacks, and is aware of how good nutrition can benefit a student's performance and behavior at school. Regina retains on-call nutritionists and dieticians who are involved in every step of our menu planning and food/ingredient selection process. Our goal in designing school and after-school menus is to find the right balance between nutritional value and kid friendliness.

Regina’s adult clients also benefit from our concern and commitment to serving fresh, high quality nutritious meals. Our menus meet and/or surpass the nutrition standards set forth by New York City’s Department for the Aging and the Department of Homeless Services.  Whether at a Senior Center, Community Residence or Homeless Shelter, we make sure that those that we feed consume wholesome meals, fruits and snacks on a daily basis.

Through its “Wellness and Healthy Eating Program, Regina Caterers offers a variety of menus tailored to meet the dietary needs of each consumer. Menu choices include: Regular (non-vegetarian), organic, vegetarian, and allergen-free.  All our meals are prepared with fresh meats and vegetables, contain fresh fruits and are low in sugar and salt.

Special events and field trips are important elements and enhancements to every program.  With prior notification, Regina Caterers will customize your menus for holiday celebrations, cultural awareness activities and can provide bag lunches for  local outings and day trips.

It should be noted that as part of the “Wellness and Healthy Eating Program and as a concerned stakeholder in each community it serves, Regina Caterers provides financial and product contributions for educational activities geared towards enhancing nutritional awareness and producing wholesome diets.
